Celebrating the Launch of a New Horror Series
Haunted Horror #1
Announcing Captured Aural Phantasy Theater’s triumphant return to the legendary Nerdist Showroom at Meltdown Comics with the Haunted Horror Variety Show! This new show features live, multi-media performances of classic horror comic book stories mixed into a horror variety show format. Live music, spooky acts and prizes are thrown in for a night of thrilling entertainment that will also promote the debut of the new comic book series Haunted Horror!
Before slasher films and torture porn, and before the Comics Code Authority sanitized the industry in the mid-‘50s, kids gobbled up horrific tales of murder and the occult in comic books. We bring select masterpieces of classic comic book terror to life in the Haunted Horror Variety Show. Live performances of Halloween ads, haunted music and other ghastly nuggets round out the evening.
The Haunted Horror Variety Show at Meltdown has been developed in collaboration with leading horror comic blog “The Horrors of It All.” Besides a great night of spooky entertainment, the show on October 27 is serving as a promotional event for a brand new line of comic books co-edited by the blog’s mastermind, Steve Banes, and Craig Yoe, and published by IDW.
Audience members who show up early will get free prizes related to the new comic, Haunted Horror #1. Supplies are limited.
