HISTORY, COMIC BOOKS and COCKTAILS!
Finish the holiday season with this historic treat! Captured Aural Phantasy Theater, LA’s original comic book performance group, presents the history of comic books LIVE as part of a show that spans narrative illustration of the 18th Century to today.
In SWIMMING TO METROPOLIS: A LIVE SHOW ABOUT THE HISTORY OF COMIC BOOKS, Captured Aural Phantasy Theater’s MC Ben Dickow, who lectures on the history of comics at Otis College of Art and Design, leads audiences through a visual tour of comic book evolution, connecting it with historic developments in art, literature and politics along the way. The presentation is accompanied by music, special effects, audience participation and El Cid’s spectacular cocktails.
Spend the last night of holidays geeking out with history, comic books and booze!
