TALES FROM THE COMIC BOOK CRACK DOWN showcases live performances of vintage, mid-century comic book stories that the US Senate attacked for being bad influences on kids! This show shines a spotlight on that history, focusing on the events of April 21, 1954, when Senators held a hearing to denounce comic books. One person stood up to them, EC Comics publisher William Gaines. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater restages and interprets the actual testimony from this hearing as well as performing a few of the comics that were scrutinized. As always, we mix in live music, projected art and comedic bits in our signature old radio show/ variety show format for an evening of entertainment that fights the power!

We've been getting rave reviews for our shows!
