Experience the many facets of love through CAPT's signature variety show format that includes radio show-style performances of 50's and 60's romance comic books and other pop culture gems, with sultry singing, stunning visual art, short acts, prizes, and live music!

Captured Aural Phantasy Theater gives it to you, LIVE, March 3.

Romance comic books outsold nearly all other genres in the mid-20th Century, including superhero comics. These books offered tawdry tales of heartache and redemption as well as practical romantic advice. We bring select masterpieces of these classics to modern audiences in the Sex, Love and Comic Books Show, including titles such as 1969's "My Mother, The Mantrap" and 1962's "The Irresistable Lois Lane!"

the legendary EL CID in Los Angeles!

Usually, we will be appearing the FIRST SUNDAY of every MONTH, but in May,

the Next Show is WEDNESDAY, May 8!

 A Variety Show of Comic Books, Music and Booze.

Each show will be unique. Here's our schedule, so far:

Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is the original pop culture variety show that specializes in giving old comic books a modern voice. Combining live performance, vaudeville, an old radio show, music and stunning visuals, we bring bits of pop culture, from TV shows to comic books, to life in unique performances that put entertainment first. Captured Aural Phantasy Theater is what would happen if Garrison Keilor, John Waters and Stan Lee all put on a show after a night of hard partying.

2 Unique Shows = 2x the Scares!

This Halloween, terror strikes twice: once at a special show, The Haunted Horror Variety Show, to promote a new horror comic book series at the Nerdist Showroom at Meltdown Comics, and next, The Feast of Terror Spook Show at the legendary El Cid, Halloween night!

The first show is a chilling warm up to quickly get you into the "spirit" of the season. The second show, at El Cid Halloween night, is a big, shocking finale to the ghostly holiday! It's a night of thrilling entertainment complete with performances of horror stories, live music, spooky acts, and prizes! 

On Halloween, be sure to get there early to get a good seat and sample El Cid's superb menu and stunning cocktails!
