What is Captured Aural Phantasy Theater?

CAPTURED AURAL PHANTASY THEATER combines the art and drama of a vintage radio program with the live entertainment of a Vaudeville show. Conjuring the Golden and Silver Ages of comics, tales teeming with romance, horror, and science-fiction are performed in the style of a live radio drama. The readings are accompanied by musical and visual interludes in a multi-media cabaret style performance. Marvel to actors as they bring retro stories to life while you watch projections of original art, listen to live sound effects, swoon to sultry singing, take home fabulous door prizes, and thrill to many more live-action surprises! The talent never ends in a full evening of entertainment with Captured Aural Phantasy Theater!

The New Show at Meltdown Comics!

Saturday, August 27, see us back at the world-famous Meltdown Comics on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.

Nerdist Theater at Meltdown will host our Comic Book Summer Camp. We're excited to be a part of the meteoric rise of Meltdown's live performances.

The new show combines performances of a couple of zany vinatge comic book stories along with live musical numbers, original art and other acts. The theme is summer! Our Captured Aural Phantasy Camp Director will guide you through tales of summer vacation, summer fun and summer love. Is that the Meatballs CIT song the audience is singing along to? We'll find out at the show.

The show starts at 8, but we're joined by the surf band "The Noble Gasses" for a special pre-show musical treat beforehand.
